Mental Health Day at the Capitol is an annual event hosted by The Arizona Peer and Family Coalition that brings together community members, advocates, and policymakers to raise awareness and advocate for policies that support mental health in Arizona.
It's a day to:
Connect with your legislators: Meet with your elected officials and share your personal stories and concerns about mental health. Make your voice heard: Advocate for policies that improve mental health services and support in our community. Learn about key issues: Gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing mental health in Arizona. Be part of the solution: Join a movement of individuals committed to strengthening mental health care for all. Mental Health Day at the Capitol is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by mental health challenges.

9:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Registration & Check-In Receive your event materials and legislative appointment information at the Main Capitol entrance. 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Welcome & Program Overview Hear from inspiring community leaders and mental health advocates. 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM: Legislative Meetings Join small group meetings with your legislators to discuss key mental health policy priorities. Mid-day:
10:30 AM - 1:00 PM: Request to Speak Sign-Up Support Available Get assistance signing up to speak at the committee hearing. 11:00 AM & 12:00 PM: Optional Capitol Tour Take a 45-minute tour (limited to the first 90 participants to check-in). 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Lunch Enjoy a provided bag lunch. Meet with your district legislator. Afternoon:
1:00 PM: Proclamation on House and Senate Floors Witness a special proclamation in support of mental health in both chambers of the legislature. 2:00 PM: Committee Hearing Observe a legislative committee hearing related to mental health. 3:00 PM: Event Conclusion
